Stage 1 Building Project commences Monday, 18 March

‘Harold & Kite’ have won the contract to build our Junior Primary classroom complex commencing next week. As of Monday, more fencing will be erected around the Whysall Street entrance and the area will be transformed into a building site. It is hoped that this project will be completed by the beginning of Term 4.  Over the course of the year, progress reports and photos will be provided in the newsletter – stay tuned for exciting times ahead!

Student Attendance

Parents and caregivers are reminded to notify the school if your child is going to be absent.

You can let us know about your child’s absence by:

  • informing the teacher (if you know in advance that your child will be away)
  • submitting an ‘Absence Form’ on Skoolbag app
  • texting the school’s absence line - 0408 648 186
  • emailing the office - info@smg.catholic.edu.au
  • phoning the school office - 8211 2400

To prevent the spread of infection in the school, parents are requested to keep children who are unwell at home.  Information on the recommended exclusion time from school for infectious diseases can be found on the SA Health website.

For students who will not be at school for 5 days or more, please contact the office for an ‘Application for Exemption from School’ form. This applies to extended sick leave, holiday and family leave.
