Cancellation of Sports Day

Our Sports Day on Friday (March 29^th) is being CANCELLED due to the forecast weather conditions. I have personally contacted the Bureau of Meteorology who have advised us that there is a chance of 70% rain falling during the morning (up to 4mm) and that there are winds up to 30-45kms throughout the day. Due to the day being predicted as very windy, the advice is not to hold our Sports Day as it is an outdoor event off site with very limited protection from the elements.

We will now schedule our Annual Sports Day on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 13^th as there is no other day this term free of excursions and special activities.

I apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you, but our duty of care to all students, staff and parents is paramount in this decision.

Last week, I had the opportunity of attending the Year 6 camp at Mylor and it was fantastic to observe students have a go of various outdoor activities that they would not normally experience in their daily life.

We are writing to invite you to become a 'Friend" of Mary MacKillop Museum in Kensington.

The life and story of our first canonised Saint continues to be an inspiration to people, regardless of age, culture or gender. The work Mary instigated with Father Julian Tension Woods for the bush and poor children was the beginning of the Australian Catholic Education system. From those humble beginnings, we now have around 2,000 Catholic Schools across Australian and New Zealand. What a legacy, one that you can become a part of.
