OLSH Pillar Focus

This term, our OLSH Pillar focus is on Pursuing Excellence, whereby we are heading past half way of the 2019 school year and routines have been well established, mid-year reports have been written and shared with families, and teaching and learning for the remainder of the year is in full swing.  Goals have been set for ways forward and for students to achieve them.  We also have Mary Mackillop Feast Day, Mobile Science Lessons, Science Shows, Cross Country Carnival, Assumption Feast Day, Numerical Acumen Presentations, ICAS Testing, ReLAT Testing, Book Week, Carly Ryan Presentations, Child Protection Week, SACPSSA Touch Footy Carnival, Sports Day and Grandparent’s Day just to name a few of our events in which St Martin’s will pursue excellence.

SAPSASA Basketball

Well done to the Year 5-6 SAPSASA Basketball Team who competed at this week’s tournament.

The team was competitive and players were very good both on and off the court. Congratulations on your excellent representation of athletes from St Martin’s.

National Science Week

National Science Week runs 10-18 August 2019 and aims to inspire young people to engage, explore and understand science and why it matters. To kick things off, the Government of South Australia, in partnership with the Australia Day Council of South Australia is delighted to present:

In conversation with Dr Richard Harris SC OAM 2019 Australian of the Year.

This free event is designed for school students and accompanying adults to understand ‘the power of science’!

Join us for this exclusive opportunity to hear Richard speak from a unique perspective, as an anaesthetist and a cave explorer, about how an understanding of science can be harnessed for health and survival in challenging environments and learn what Richard hopes to achieve in the future.
