Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Day

Saint Mary of the Cross was born on 15 January 1842, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died on 8 August 1909, North Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.  She was canonized on 17 October 2010 and her feast day is on 8 August.  St Mary of the Cross MacKillop was a religious figure, educator, and social reformer who was the first Australian beatified by the Roman Catholic Church and the first Australian to be recognised as one of its saints.

South Australian Catholic Primary Schools Association (SACPSSA) Carnivals

NETBALL CARNIVAL (Years 3-6)

Last Tuesday, St Martin’s fielded three netball teams in the annual Catholic Schools Carnival. The teams were nominated on player registrations received last term. All players and teams performed admirably and enjoyed the day. Thank you to the parent volunteers that helped with umpiring and team management on the day. Without the help of volunteers, success of such events would not be possible.
