Our St Martin's Tinker Shed

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

A very warm welcome is extended to the final term of 2020 and a special welcome to Zxenia Dottore (Year 1 teacher), Joshua and Jacob in RT. May you enjoy your time at St Martin’s.

St Martin’s Sports Day 2020

Last term, St Martin’s held its annual Sports Day. It was the 55^th time the House Teams have competed for the Champion Team Sports Shield.

This year's Sports Day was held on site and ran on Thursday and Friday of Week 9. Thursday’s action included Reception to Year 2 events. Relay and Year 3 to 6 events were held on Friday. The event made use of live, internet-based, electronic scoring with the final addition of scores and presentation of trophies being made during a whole school assembly that was published on Facebook.

Our Shed

Our Shed is a space in our school that provides many of our students with a time to engage and create in a different learning environment.  Our Shed is also open during some of our lunch breaks for students to build and tinker.  Peter Kuerschner who manages the shed is being inundated with students lining up to get in!  This however requires extra time in preparation and maintenance.  We are on the lookout for any parent/grandparent volunteers to help with some of the organisation and sweep up of the shed.  You will need to be a registered volunteer and collect your badge from the Front Office on arrival.

Book Week 2020 Dress Up Day will be held on Friday 23 October.

The theme is Curious Creature Wild Minds.  Unfortunately, due to COVID regulations there will be no public parade after Assembly this year.

There have been many items (clothing, toys etc) left behind after Vacation Care.  Please see a OSHC staff member if you have any items that are missing.
