APRIM News |
Born in Pavia, Italy, to pagan parents, Martin became a catechumen in his early teens. At age 15, he joined the Roman army where once on horseback he encountered a beggar. Having nothing to give but the clothes on his back, he cut his heavy officer's cloak in half, and gave half to the beggar. Later he had a vision of Christ wearing the cloak. A hermit and monk for ten years, he was declared Bishop of Tours by popular acclamation in 371 – and was the first non-martyr to be given the status of a Saint.

Leadership News |
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Our Stage 2 Master Plan Building Project received approval from the Port Adelaide Enfield Council on Wednesday October 28th which is fantastic news. This stage comprises a two storey building encompassing a large Reception area, offices for Leadership and Admin staff, a First Aid room, meeting rooms, a staffroom and staff workroom, toilets for both staff and students on the ground level, and 5 classrooms on the first level. There will be a lift installed for access to the upper floor and an enclosed linkway from Stage 1 to Stage 2 to enable students to move across both areas. The tendering process is currently occurring, and it is hoped that by the beginning of next month, a building company is employed and work commences by mid-December. This stage is expected to be completed by the end of Term 3 next year in readiness for occupation during Term 4.

On November 11, we celebrated the feast day of St Martin of Tours, the Patron Saint of our School and Parish. It was also Remembrance Day, a day when we remember the men and women who have died in war, and thank all those who have served and are serving in the military services.
On this day of Remembrance, we give thanks and honour to the lives of those who have helped make our beautiful country a place of freedom and peace.
