Leadership News

Greetings!

There is an air of excitement around the school as we prepare for the Blessing and Opening of the Hartzer and Mackillop Buildings. We have received replies from a number of invited guests, including Archbishop Patrick O’Regan (Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide), Dr Neil McGoran (Director of Catholic Education SA), Hon Blair Boyer MP (Minister for Education, Training and Skills), Dana Wortley (Member for Torrens), various staff of Catholic Education SA, past Principals of St. Martin’s and 4 Sisters of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (3 of whom are travelling from Sydney to be with us).

SAPSASA DISTRICT DAY ATHLETICS CARNIVAL (3 August)

Well done to the small team that represented St Martin’s at the SAPSASA District Athletics Carnival last week. The team tried all day and achieved some success winning ribbons in high jump, shot put, long jump and middle-distance events.

Congratulations to Tyler (Year 5) who, following an excellent run in the 1500m, won a place in the District Team that will compete at the SAPSASA State Day later in the year.

Thank you to the parent volunteers who assisted the team on the day – your help is always appreciated!

Year 3 Gardening Report - Fixing the pump

The Year 3 students are trying to put the pump in so everyone can use it.  They are working really hard to put the pump in its correct spot.  They are getting dirty but having fun.  They are spending their work time helping Mr K.  We have a very new pump.

Thank you, Jemma and Mia

Parking

It has been brought to our attention that once again our families have been parking their vehicles across the driveways of our local neighbours.  PLEASE be mindful and considerate of your actions.  The local Council does patrol the area and you will be issued with a significant fine if you are caught parking incorrectly.
